Gaetan L. Kashala
Executive DirectorGaetan brings over two decades of experience across economic development, law, education, government affairs, and international trade. Prior to joining the Pawtucket Foundation, he led the creation of an Economic Mobility Agenda at Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, advancing strategies to build human, social, and financial capital in the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan. He then served as Engagement Director at the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), a statewide business association representing 3,400 employers.
Gaetan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University and an MBA from Boston University. His involvement outside the Foundation includes serving on the Board of Directors of WorldBoston, the Advisory Board of the Trustees of Donations for Education in Liberia, and is an editorial contributor to Fair Observer.
Outside of work, Gaetan enjoys spending time with his wife, Teresa, and their three children—Mathias (10 years old), and twins Camila and Akim (3 years old). He is excited to collaborate with the Foundation’s members and partners to help shape the next chapter in Pawtucket’s story of American innovation.
Kelly Castaños
Engagement ManagerKelly, a Rhode Island native, brings a strong background in public service, technology, and community engagement. Her experience spans roles with the RI Department of Education, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, and the Executive Office of the Governor. In these roles, Kelly advanced initiatives through data-driven strategy, cross-sector collaboration, and a deep commitment to community impact.
Kelly is also the founder of RIGSC, a social and professional network dedicated to fostering authentic connections and creating inclusive spaces for women across Rhode Island. In her new role, Kelly will focus on strengthening relationships with local stakeholders, enhancing member engagement, and supporting initiatives that drive economic development, placement, and connectivity in City of Pawtucket, RI
