Networking reception, past year's accomplishments reviewed & goals outlined for upcoming year; 2017 honorees to be announced

5:30 PM Reception, 6:30 PM Meeting at Visitors Center

(PAWTUCKET, RI) - The public is invited to attend the Pawtucket Foundation's 14th Annual Meeting. At the meeting the Pawtucket Foundation will review accomplishments, outline plans for 2017 and announce honorees for their 14th Annual Awards Celebration, to be held in the spring. The Annual Meeting is being held at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center (175 Main St., Pawtucket, RI), and the schedule for the evening starts with a networking cocktail reception and light refreshments at 5:30 PM, followed by the Annual Meeting at 6:30 PM.

The Awards to be announced include: Person of the Year, Heritage Award, and Special Distinction. The Person of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to the community through generosity, leadership, service and participation with numerous charities and institutions. The Heritage Award recognizes outstanding long-term commitment to the City of Pawtucket and its residents. The Special Distinction Award signifies an important accomplishment in a particular field. Honorees will be presented with the awards on April 26, 2017 at the Pawtucket Foundation's 14th Awards Celebration, to be held at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center.

Also to be discussed are updates to current projects of the Pawtucket Foundation, including the commuter rail station. The Board of Directors will also announce new board members to the Pawtucket Foundation.
