Major Employers
Pawtucket is home to businesses large and small.  The City is known as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution and has a long history as a center for textile industries.  Today, Pawtucket has a broad cross section of industries, arts-related and small businesses.  Notably, Pawtucket is the world headquarters for Hasbro, Inc., Collette, Tunstall Americas, Pet Food Experts, and Cooley Group. Manufacturing is still an important job sector, and tech-savvy graphic designers, multi-media studios and art studios are cropping up all over the City.

Art Design | World Class Talent
Pawtucket is home to some of the world’s finest artists, sculptors, designers and architects. Steven Weinberg, the internationally famous glass sculptor, has a studio downtown and produces work that is exhibited all over the world.
Gretchen Dow Simpson has a studio in Downtown Pawtucket.  As a New Yorker Magazine cover artist, 58 of her paintings have been used on the cover of the magazine.

Morris Nathanson, a designer widely known for his accomplishments in hospitality design, has a design firm on Exchange Street.  Mr. Nathanson and his wife, Phyllis, created the Design Exchange, a complex in a former mill that houses multiple architecture, graphic design and art firms.
