Membership contributions make up 68% of The Pawtucket Foundation’s annual budget and provide the capital to carry out the Foundation’s mission. The generous support of our members is essential for our programs, planning resources, staff and general operations. Contributions under $2,000 may be made via the PayPal button. The Pawtucket Foundation recently created an endowment to sustain our mission in perpetuity. Endowed funds earn income that will supplement the organization’s operation. Consider a contribution to our endowment in addition to your annual membership contribution, or consider this opportunity when estate planning.
In addition to general operations and programming the Foundation annually hosts a number of special events. Income from events benefit the organization and help to sustain programming expenses.
Fund The Landscape Improvement Fund directs 100% of contributions to improve streetscapes in Pawtucket and Central Falls. The Fund, formed in partnership with the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council and Cities of Pawtucket and Central Falls has planted 85 Cherry Trees along Roosevelt Avenue and hosted the First Annual Rhode Island Cherry Blossom Festival in 2010.
