Project Description: To undertake phase one, Marketing Research, of the Pawtucket Foundation's Prospectus for Marketing Pawtucket's Assets.  Students will gain a base knoweldge of Pawtucket by touring and evaluate existing resources, then prepare casestudies of revitalization efforts in similar communities.  Focus will be on outlining market positioning to attract individuals and businesses to Live | Work | Visit.  The research will be used to inform content on the Foundation's ExperiencePawtucket.org website to be unvieled in early 2012.

Project title: Green Screen

Concept
Concept photo simulation
Project Description: To design, fabricate and install a "vertical garden," or green-screened planter system on the exterior of the municipal parking garage on Main Street in downtown Pawtucket, RI, using contemporary digital technology logics and CAD-CAM.  Throughout semester, students explore how to use MasterCAM software for CNC Milling, along with laser cutting & 3d printing (or rapid prototyping).  Students will build full-scale mockups of their designs and install at the project site.

Project title: Community Garden and Picnic Area Design & Build

Students construct deck and canopy on site
Project Description: To design and build a community garden, picnic area and viewing platform at the Heritage Park YMCA/Chinese Christian Church at 333 Roosevelt Avenue.  72 students collaborating to create a single design and construct the project in a 10 week semester.  Property owners and tenants provided input throughout the planning process.
